"Rock candy" is exactly that, crystalline sugar.

To make this, get some water boiling and still in a lot of sugar until it all dissolves (and you may have some extra left behind).

Decant (pour off) the hot sugar solution allow it to cool. You can add a string to make the rock candy here, or any other "seed" will help the crystals grow. Adding a dye will also help color the crystals.

As far as I remember. Get a jar. Mix sugar and water together in the jar. Suspend a string into the jar, and use the lid on top for a weight.

Next morning, could take days though, at least, there you go, you got sugar crystals!

That's rock candy, ya know. Haven't seen any of that in a while. It is beautiful,

Hi. You need to dissolve as much sugar as you can in hot water. A string coated with sugar (for starter crystals) will become covered with sugar crystals as the water evaporates over time and the water can no longer hold the sugar in solution.
