Hi,
I recommend you to rent a car incld driver, price is considerably cheap for group. Normally, in the hotel lobby, you can easily find this city tour easily and also recommended places to visit is also available.
However, few "must go places"are:
1. ubud, enjoy nice ambience of quiet village. here you can easily find local art piece like silver, wood craft, painting and many fascinating local art.
2. Eat seafood in Jimbaran. Its a big NO NO to miss this experience while in bali
3. Dolphin, to see the dolphin, you must go early in the morning. Best place: Lovina
4. Sukawati market, is a local market with extremely cheap stuff. remember that you must bargain, sandals with beads, tshirts, pants and sarong are all available.
5. Temple. must visit few temples because bali is also known as island of thousand temples. Go to Uluwatu temple or Tampak Siring. Please take be careful on the entrance note, few things are forbidden specially in sacred temples.
5. Beaches. You can try dreamland or nusa dua if you like a quiet and clean beach. Kuta is famous for the sunset,
6. Water activity, snorekerling, diving, banana boat, parasailing. Go to Nusa Benoa.
Go and check this website: www.baliselection.com

Enjoy Bali!!!

There are so many places to stay ranging from cheap 2 star hotel accommodations to a bit more expensive 4 star hotels. It's very easy to find reasonably priced accommodation in Bali in a good location. Check out www.excelloz.com for price and star rating of hotels in Bali. You can also read hotel reviews of some places to get an honest opinion for those who have stayed there before.

In Bali, there are many nice places to dine and you should definitely visit the Katu Beach. Ubud is awesome for nice traditional artifacts.

Kuta Beach, Sanur, and Ubud. All very much 'tourist destinations'. Of the three, Kuta would be the most tourist-centric and so inexpensive that some places to stay are a bit dodgy. Ubud is quieter, more cultural, and no beach. Sanur is still a beach resort place, but a little more upscale.
