When I was about your age my mother fell through an old wooden ladder. She hurt her leg pretty bad and hurt her shoulder. About three months later she was having some trouble breathing, it turns out that when she fell through the ladder she broke two ribs as well. I guess her other injuries hurt so much that she didn't notice the pain in her chest at the time.

So, yes you did the right thing by giving your Dad some ice, but you should try to convince him to go to the hospital as well, just to be sure that he hasn't really hurt himself. Good luck.

You sound quite grown up to know that ice would be good, however talk to your Dad and see if he thinks it may be broken. He can use the ice to keep swelling down, even if it is broken and must go to a doctor or emergency room. Thanks for taking care of him.

He's your dad, should'nt he know what to do? You should go get him some ice, but 3 feet isnt that high. He should be fine, dont worry.

Just stay calm and let your dad handle it. Give him some ice if he wants it. He'll be okay.
