The check engine light was on a few weeks ago. Fixed it at the dealership (no longer under warranty) but under 50,000 miles. Since then, the interior dash lights and the head lights go off and on. When they are on, the heat blower doesn't come on. Could this relate to the work they did before? Is there an ignition problem?

Thank you.

I did some checking, all of those components you mentioned have 1 thing in common......A ground...specifically G200.
G200 is located on the right side of the dash behind the fuse box. The different circuit grounds splice together right at the grounding point.
Send me an email at Allums1969@yahoo and i will send you a diagram of the exact location.

Unless the dealership was working on the right side of your dash, i doubt they had anything to do with this problem.

What is happening is that when you have a bad ground connection circuits start backfeeding. Meaning one item starts running it will TAKE a ground path from another item it's connected to and cause it to stop working.

A loose/blown fuse...not your problem. since all the items you mentioned have different power sources.
PCM has nothing to do with this.....

I had a matching subject on a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am SE. became out to be a clogged catalytic converter. the motor vehicle had extra advantageous than 80,000 miles, so it replace into no longer coated under guarantee. i offered a bolt-on replace catalytic converter from eastern Catalytic. The interior sight muffler save took off the previous one and put in it for under $ninety. reliable success checking the transmission fluid point. if your GP is extremely like the 4-cylinder GA, there is not any transmission dipstick. With the engine working, you may desire to eliminate a plug from under the motor vehicle after which pour fluid in the precise cap till it dribbles out the backside hollow. Drop me an digital mail for extra info.

Check your fuses for the heat blower. Sounds like they may have screwed up the PCM or maybe just have a few blown fuses. Check your fuses first, and if that doesn't help, take it to an Autozone or another place that sells car parts and ask them to "scan" your car. They have a ODB scanner which will read your vehicle for errors. If the error persists after having it scanned, take it back to the dealership, or another mechanic. Hope this helps you out!
