I am assuming that you are going to turn around and use this for homework word for word, and that is why you have all those stipulations, just remember that it really is true that you will learn nothing if you let other people do your work.

As for my opinion, diversity is good because if everyone is the same then there is no chance for different perspectives. The more sides you can see an issue from the better you will be able to make your own decisions.

This is one of those odd questions that pretty much answers itself.

Diversity is good because it opens up the viewpoints of different experiences. As I write this, you've gotten two other people to post their ideas. Who knows how many people you'll get to respond. And I highly doubt you'll get two identical answers.

If you mean diversity as in many different religious/cultural affiliations, I think it breaks down stereotypes between races and cultures when people that we're all just people. I've spoken with at least a dozen distinct ethnic groups, half a dozen religions (some I'd never heard of before), people of all different sexual preferences and histories, people with all sorts of anomolies... and I'd like to think I've learned something from each of them.

And the first lesson is, we're all just people. If we could all agree on that fairly basic point, I suspect we'd have a little less war. Maybe then one side could take the initiative of not constantly avenging itself on those who avenged themselves on those avenged themselves... different religions and governments have differing opinions on this, but I don't think anybody's quite sure who or what started it.

The more diversity we have, the less serious "Us vs. Them" contests will be. I bet that's why Europeans like soccer so much... it's _just_ violent enough.

It's NOT good. Diversity is a code word for perversity, most often.
