likes Steely Dan and the eagles or **** like that when everyone else i know likes green day and coldplay they call me stupid and lame i dont think i am but why do they do that?and am i the only one who likes them?

Nothing, Steely Dan is my Favorite person. I started listening to Steely when I was around 12 And since then I have every album he has ever made. Didn't listen to eagles that much. I say listen to what you like. A true lover of music listens to all music.

You probably like that music because that's what your parents listened to. Music is a taste, or preference, and one day when your friends grow up they will realize that it's ok to like whatever music you want.
I love Steely Dan and the Eagles and don't care what anyone says!!

Steely Dan and the Eagles have been around for at least 30-40 years and have sold millions of albums to generations of fans. People your age tend to think that whatever is popular is good and whatever is not popular sucks. Your music choice shows an ability to think independently and decide things for yourself. I applaud you! Good job! It's not easy to be the lone wolf sometimes. Chnaces are, most of the kids who call your music stupid havent even listened to it.

Hey it's ok to be 15 and like that stuff. I'm 16 and i love music from the 60s-80s it's a lot better than some of the junk you hear on the radio nowaways.

Hey, Barbara Mandrill was "Country When Country Wasn't Cool". Look at her now. She's still Hot and got lots of $$$$. Listen to your heart and listen to what you like. Tell all the ones that are Dissing on you to take a hike. You are your own person, not some clone of someone else.

nah, nothings wrong with ya... u just have a more diverse and well rounded taste in music. My 15 yo son likes everything... just this month he is seeing Godsmack,some sitar player that they have to road trip for, the Vienna boys choir, audience participation hallelujah chorus, Leon Redbone, and some Celtic Christmas thing. His gf is kinda goth and he likes her music 2. (He is obviously not goth btw)
Anyone can be a rubberstamped ditto head who is happy and clueless controlled by the corporate music industry. I'm glad you got enough guts to be who you are, and listen to what you really like. You don't have to dis what others like, but you don't have to listen to it either..

When i was your age i loved the eagles and still do as my mum used to play there music all the time when i was your age i liked phill collins,genesis,dire straits i love all the old kind of music dont worry what people think i bet they love some music artists that they wouldnt want you to know about.Dont worry and keep listening :-)

Nothing wrong with that at all. My son is 15 and he likes those bands as well as Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Stevie Ray Vaughn, etc. Great to see young people with good taste in music.

Ive never heard of those bands before but if you like them you should continue listening to them. it makes you unique that u don't listen to green day and cold play because they are kinda overrated even though billy Joel is hott and hes awesome in greenday you kinda get tired of them due to overexposure and the same w/ coldplay.those ppl who act like that they are just ignorant toward those bands and they may call u mean words because everyone they met likes the same thing.originally is sometimes looked as a bad thing to those that are narrow minded.I understand what your feeling because I'm black and i love alternative rock and all the other black girls in my school would make fun of me because i don't listen to rap but they made fun because they never listened to any rock before ...so ppl who act like that are just stupid and ur not stupid for liking what u like and i can assure you that there are other ppl that like them too but you just don't know them.
