Well...after I had taken 3 home pregnancy tests...and ALL 3 were POSITIVE...we was like well are you sure? How do you know? Are you sure...do you feel like you are? It was funny but, a little annoying...It was just like ready or not here a baby comes...After he got used to the idea...he went and told god and everyone...he was really excited..He's been a father figure to my 5 year old since he was only 9 months old...But, this one is his first baby..And, he got even more excited when we found out it that it's a girl. Now at the end of my pregnancy (I will be 35 weeks, on Tuesday)...his excitment has kind of died down...since we are both getting kind of bored with the pregnancy...and ready for it to end...But, anyway...good luck with your pregnancy, and your baby, and husband lol...

My first husband told me I was pregnant. I was young and also an only child and he had to more or less raise me. He took me to the doctor right away. He found a very nice doctor that I really adored and who adored me as well and we have a lovely son. Also, he was a lot better at handling the baby when we took him home from the hospital, because he had been raised in Panama and had always had baby monkeys for pets - you have to diaper them too.
I did catch on to mothering very quickly but I had not been around any tiny babies, although I had read voraciously about pregnancy and early childhood development during my pregnancy.

After trying to get pregnant for over a year and suffering 3 miscarriages, my husband and I decided to give up and I went on the pill. I had been on it for 2 months, but hadnt been using any other methods since we'd not had any luck in the past. Long story short, I'd resigned myself that my husband and I were not going to have a baby and we made lots of life choices that went along with that. (I went back to school, we began foster parenting...)
Sooo, I kinda had concern when I realized that I was late, but really thought it was stress. I bought a test and decided to do it 1st thing in the morning for the most accurate result. I couldnt sleep, so that was at about 4 am.
It was pos, and I couldnt wait to tell him, mostly b/c I was freaking out and he is always my voice of reason. lol I woke him up with the test in his face and said, "Oh, my God. Look at this!" Then I bursted out crying. He freaked out cuz he didnt realize what I was showing him at first...
Finally, he got it and started saying, "it's alright, it's good. It's gonna be alright."
Eventually, he convinced me! We will welcome our baby girl in March.

we both worked at a casino and he worked an hour before I started working. After he left for work I went out and bought I test and took it thinking there is no way I am preggo but I was. I was so freaked out. I rushed to work and started running around the slot machines til I found him alone. I just told him "we need to talk really soon" he just said "your pregnant" way too calm so that scared me even more. He said whatever you want to do I will support you and is to this day the best daddy to our now two sons.

My fiance came home from a work function and found me sitting on the chair, in the dark, looking into space.
He knelt in front of me and asked what was wrong. I told him i was pregnant. His smile lit up the room - he was so happy he couldn't contain himself. I burst into tears (pregnancy was unexpected and wasn't sure i was ready) and i watched his face (and his hopes and dreams) shatter right infront of me. He held me and said (even though i'm sure he didn't want to) that we would do whatever was right for me and could discuss all options.
I'm now 21wks pregnant and whenever i think of this baby inside my smile is like his was the first night. My first reaction wasn't a good one - but i'll spend the rest of my life making it up to this beautiful oh-so-wanted baby inside me.

I have yet to be pregnant. However, I have a funny story about my parents.
I was only 9 months old when my mom got pregnant with my brother. My dad was in the bathroom, getting ready for work. My mom was on the bed, waiting for the test results. The test was in the bathroom with my dad.
My dad, while shaving, asks my mom, "So, what is the test supposed to look like?"
Mom: "Don't worry. I'm sure I'm not pregnant."
Dad: "Well, tell me anyway."
Mom: "It's supposed to have a pink plus sign."
Dad: (Still calmly shaving) "Yup."
Mom: (Jumps up on bed): NOOOO!
Dad: (Calmly) Yep. We'll make it work. No big deal.
Haha!

My husband looked at me like I had told him the sky was falling. He was in total shock. Then he cried. We'd been trying for over 1 1/2 years.

My husband went clypto and said he hoped i was happy now that i had ruined his life. He didnt touch me or look at me for two days, and wouldnt even share a bed with me. He also wouldnt go to the doctors appointment with me to have it confirmed, and he didnt even bother to consider that I might be scared and need support.
That always makes you feel good.
boy, what a picture perfect moment.
