1 Push the other one through with yours which will harm your business.
2 Pull the other one out and throw it away and deliver yours only.
The question is the other person has put the house in danger by leaving the menu hanging out of the door and they could be broken in to so you can't return the other menu to it's original position.
But are you breaking the law by removing it and throwing it away?

it depends on if the menu was a mailing or not. if it was hand delivered like yours, it's legal to remove. If it was sent through the mail, it is a federal offense to even touch somebody else's mail if you are not involved in delivering it.
As far as ethics are concerned, you should let both be delivered- after all, both will probably be thrown away anyway, and somebody else is relying upon that other menu to make a living.

Not sure how you would stand legally if it was just fliers being delivered,if it was royal mail then yes you'd be in bother. But if someone saw you taking out the oppositions leaflets, that could end up being bad for business,really not ethical! Anyhow if your restaurant is good there'll be no problem will there....?

well if its anything like round here, you migh as well push theirs in too as even if you pull it out by the next week 20 more will have been delivered by different people.
the idea is to have the best prices, food or service and get customers that way rather than by eliminating the competition.
I never chose where to eat based on just 1 leaflet that arrived, i check out several then make my choice based on the above.

It doesn't matter what you do, really, because most recipients don't bother looking at junk mail. Why is it OK to dump unsolicited paperwork through people's doors, when it's an offence to dump it in the street?

It is illegal to remove it. That is pretty selfish to want to do that. It is only fair that people get all their choices.
