All you need to do is keep water in the tree stand. Nurserymen and horticulturists do not recommend adding sugar or other additives to the water. Turns out that plain old water is the best.
If you have a whole house humidifier, make sure it is operating. Low indoor humidity will tend to dry a tree out faster than a humid environment.

Good luck with your christmas tree.

If possible try to get a freshly cut tree.Try not to put the tree next to a radiator or near the fireplace. Give it water every day. Keep the room at a cool temperature. Hey wear a sweater!
And threaten it. :-)

You can leave the tree in a moist area so that the tree won't dry out fast. You can also try plantingthe x-mas tree in a pot with dirt and fertilizer in the house.

water at the base lots of it. drill a couple holes in side of trunk to let it soak up. You'd think with it cut off it would suck water from the bottom but it doesn't get enough

simple solution is to add water and some sugar to the base and keep adding water as needed or get the florist to give you some chemicals designed to keep cut flowers fresh.......or give it a dose of miracle grow in the water.....3 choices.
