HP has some pretty good laptops with those specs for a good price. I like hp because the customer support is good. They gave me online support on my really old laptop that i bought in 2000 and it was way out of warranty. I dont like dell because you pretty much have to pay for customer support once out of warranty. My work has dells and they are so slow. If you want to play new games on it, i dont recommend the intel graphics card. Go with nvidia or radeon. Alienware makes good laptop but they are expensive. I researched the hp dv9000t and heard a lot of good things about it so i ordered one for about $1500 with fast specs.

There are no CONS. The MacBook does the two WinBloze and OSX, no different computing device could make that fact. you have the terrific of the terrific. Apple shops are doping up throughout and you may make an appointment for a time and date, carry your computing device there. they are going to troubleshoot it and connect it if it quite is a utility situation it quite is loose. What different computing device business organisation has shops and could make that fact? Get the two.4 GHz with 4Gigs Ram and you acquire a speed device like mine. The WinBloze human beings won't like a Mac computing device yet i'm going to guess all of them have iPods.

What is your budget? thats the easiest way to figure out what you can buy? If you are looking to upgrade your laptop as you go along, dell is a good one, however I prefer acer ones...Acer Aspire 7104WSMI or new one 5051AWXMi. For style:- Sony for definite. Also what do you plan to use it for? Multimedia, simple word processing, downloads(music) etc etc.

Dell, Toshiba, HP or Gateway are all good. It's all depends on how much you want to spend. Looking at your requirement i would say the minimum you need to spend at least $900 or more.

Anything but Dell.
Check your budget and watch for sales.
Stay as far away from Dell as possible.

Dell is your best bet. You can get an Apple but they're terrifically expensive for what you get. I'd recommend either the E1405 or the E1505.
