"Exquisite Corpse" This a novel by a female author named Poppy Z. Brite. She is a master. Any book by her is recommended. I don't know if this is the kind of stuff your into, but by your name I thought maybe you got taste a little like my own. There is also a trilogy of books by Anne Rice. It begins with "The Witching Hour". Check it out!

Anthem, by Ayn Rand.

Short read. Full of angst. Main character is a teenage boy, growing up in a futuristic socialist society. It's rules are very restrictive, and contrary to human nature. This book will make you cry like a baby, it is so good. Ending is not sad.

Ooohh... you would LOVE Stephen King's "The Stand"! Very angsty, and very re-re-re-re-readable.
