It can happen. These feelings are actually quite common. A mature man will understand the arrival of the baby means a change to their relationship, but will rationalize his own feelings and accept the child as an element of growth, and as a new relationship to be cherished.

Does th e sun shine? Everyone gets jealous at one time or another and you answered your own question. The baby takes over all the attention that is given to anyone and he gets none or just the scraps so to speak. Why would he not be jealous? Just have to have a good talk with him and let him know what is coming and reassure him that he is still loved the same and take some extra time to be just with him. If he feels he is still number one in your life or her life, it will be much less and can be controlled better.

I think they do lose a little bit of the attention, but they also gain a lot more from the baby. She probably knows him better, so she can judge his reactions. However, if she's aware that it's going to happen, she can take steps to spend alone time with him and just have "couple" time as opposed to family time. There's nothing wrong with wanting to spend a little time away from the baby to reaffirm their own relationship.
Love grows. You can't run out of love for someone because you have a baby that requires love, too.

some guys do get jealous and it can be normal as long as it stays in control and you are able to talk to each other. However if she is worried about a negative reaction the chance of him of being mad are good...why would she be worried otherwise or it could be just the hormones causing unnecessary anxiety. I would just tell him and if he is upset intially he will either get over it and if he doesn't then that is his problem. Once a child is involved they become the most important.

Yes they can get jealous just make sure you make him a part of all that's going on. make sure he gets quality time with you and the baby, that doesn't mean that you give the baby to him when the baby needs changing, not that they shouldn't do that. Its a time of adjustment for both of you. You don't have to point it out to him, some guys don't get jealous, so you may not have a problem. Good luck.

I cant speak for every guy out there, but i can speak for my partner. Yes, he did get jealous and i havent even given birth yet! Im 37 wks preg and he told me at about 24wks that he thought i was paying more attention to my unborn baby than i was to him. We have talked it through and everything is fine now....but communication is the key.
He felt that i would love my child more than him - the love i feel for my unborn baby is totally different to how i love him. I will always love him regardless. He is the father of my child, my lover and my best friend. But it is natural for a woman to get distracted by the changes in her body while she is pregnant and after the baby is born.
Its all about teamwork - getting in there together and making an effort to do these things together. That way noone is left out.

Yes guys can get jealous sometimes coz they can get used to having all your attention and then a little person comes along and takes all that away. If her fiance is only 19 then he is still pretty young. He will quite possibly be very upset about it, but also may come around when he realises that its his kid. But she seems to have a lot of doubts about him, and that doesnt sound to be a really stable family for the baby.

I think some guys do. They feel left out. And, I think this is a normal feeling. Every ones world will change and babies are very demanding, but, any real father will deal with it and those feelings will pass.In most cases, there is nothing to worry about. And in other cases, that's his problem. The baby should always come first.

Yes, it is a frequent occurance. The mom, she really has no choice, will be devoting her life to a new lifeform for the next few years and the male will no longer be the central focus of her world.
Rather sad and pathetic but very common.

Yea, small minded baby boyfriends would get jealous of anything, but its more pathetic of them to get jealous of a baby especially when its their own. To think they are jealous because their woman is'nt giving them enough kissy kissy and huggy huggy makes me want to vomit. I wish girls would find themselfs a real man instead of today's modern childish girly sensitive baby types that are so called men . AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAArgh
