Hi all, my husband and I are not able to have children naturally, but desperatley want to have children. We have begun researching adoption and surrogacy, but they are all so expensive. Does anyone have tips on finding funding for adoption or infertility treatment? Thanks for any and all help!

Adoption has several advantages over surrogacy as far as finances go:
1. Many banks / credit unions offer low interest loans for the purpose of adopting.
2. Adoption tax credit will allow you to recoup many of your adoption expenses (although I believe that you have to finalize your adoption before you can take advantage of this).
3. Refinance your home / 2nd mortgage.
4. Borrow from retirement plans 401k, IRA's and such (although you may have to report this as income at the end of the year).
5. Ask family and friends / church / community to help if they would like by setting up a fund for your adoption expenses.
6. Trade in flashy cars for more economical models.
7. Adoption grants
8. Borrow against life insurance.
9. Low interest credit cards

Unfortunately, I am not sure that you would be able to take advantage of all of these for surrogacy.

Try checking into foster parenting. There are lots of children in the system. I've heard of parents that sign up and get a call immediately about children under 2 and newborns. It takes until 18 months to get parental rights terminated, but if you go in saying you want to adopt there is a good chance they'll put you with a child you'll later get to adopt. Its very worth a try and much cheaper than a conventional adoption. There are lots of kids in this country that need parents.

You could always do a fundraiser and just let people know that it is to help you with adopting a child. I have seen this done in my hometown a few times

Whether or not they wish to be approached, or left by myself is most likely the difference between approachable and no longer approachable. Any person might be approached in a hypothetical main issue, not all situations are hypothetical though. Most men and women choose up on when someone wishes to be left alone, and once they believe like coming near individuals, they generally let humans comprehend by using approaching individuals.
