I think it is fine to be a vegetarian or a meat eater, either one. It is completely a personal preference. Our youngest daughter decided to be a vegetarian for about 3 years in her teens and so I practiced a lot of vegetarian dishes on her and we would eat with her or add meat too. It was a bit challenging but then I think she got tired of being so different from her friends and went back to eating some meat and fish. She decided to go vegetarian because she said she didn't like the taste of meat or chicken. Then her older sister and her boyfriend turned her on to sushi so she added that into her diet and then she went for Pakistani food of all things and added pork into her diet. She still does not eat steak, hamburgers or roast beef and does not like chicken or turkey. We had honeybaked ham for thanksgiving to appease her. There is no right or wrong to what you eat. God put the plants and the animals on the earth for us to eat! Vegetarianism is a personal choice and respect is due all no matter which choice you make in this matter!

Anyone who is against it is completely misguided. Vegetarians have much MUCH lower cancer and heart disease rates that omnivores do so that should tell you enough right there. And for the people who think they are more sickly or something like that are just making stuff up, vegetarians get all the protein they need by simply eating a varied diet of fruits and vegetables which supplies the body with the amino acids that create complete protein. and a major problem in the west is too much protein, not a deficiency in it. We get all of the vitamins that omnivores do (usually more because of the healthier varied diet) the only we don't get is Vitamin B-6 and that can be obtained through vitamins supplements anyway. The fact of the matter is, despite being on top of the food chain and survival of the fittest, we don't need to eat anymore. When it was a matter of life of death as wandering Nomads then yes we needed meat then but not now. Now it is just a cruel form of butchery, where we torture them beyond imagination, genetically alter them to out liking and kill them of in the most inhumane form possible. Eating meat is quite simply morally corruptive.

Human beings have EVOLVED so much that we needed to become omnivores in order to sustain our ever complex intelligent BRAIN!!!!!
Vegetarians usually get sicker easily than other people and that is because they lack the proper amount of Protein, something you need to think and be strong and vitamins (artificial bottle supplements aren't enough).
If you are happy to be a Vegan or Vegetarian then good for you but, remember living off of pills to make up for loss of proper nutrients defeats the whole purpose of NATURAL Healthy living!

I believe that nothing is wrong w/ vegetarianism I myself am one and I think its much healthier than a diet that consists of meat but I also find nothing wrong w/ those who eat meat because people are going to eat what they want. I do believe however that you should take vitamins to make sure you're getting everything you need

We dont really need meat anymore. We are beyond the inhumane act of it. There are multi-vitamins and supplements for vegetarians today so there really arent any health issues. In fact, we're one of the healthiest groups in the world.

My ancestors didn't claw their way to the top of the food chain for me to eat radishes.

People have every right to be a vegetarian BUT, this does not mean just vegetables ONLY. you'll never be healthy like that. you need calcium, iron, etc.
