It was a horrible accident on the Highway and when I pulled my Harley over and ran to help, I pulled her from the fiery car and she died in my arms and let out a last breathe and right now I am totally screwed up over it.

How do I get over this pain??

You stopped and did what you could. I think the saddest thing is for someone to die alone. You were there for her and I'm sure she sensed it.

It's takes a while for the intensity to go away. It does fade. You need distractions and friends or family around now. Talk about it. You'll replay it in your mind for a while - thats normal.

I am an EMT and see death quite a bit. After an accident where I had a 6 year old die and his 5 year old brother critical I spent a lot of time that weekend holding my grandchildren.

Sometimes drinking with friends helps to fade the thoughts. Just stay at their house and don't drive. I think we try to replace the visions of death with intense living sometimes.

But the main thing to focus on is the fact that you tried. And she wasn't alone.

Having worked in this area I have been in the same position plenty of times. It is hard but you have to remember that you did something that not very many people would every have the heart or common decency to do. You put your life on the line to help someone that you didn't even know and in my book that makes you a very special person and her family should be proud that you did everything you could to help. You are a hero and should not think of the bad that came from this but the fact that her family will not have to worry about what she might have felt if she was left inside a burning vehicle. They will be able to know she did not suffer. I just hope that someone like you will be around if it every happens to me. Hang tight.. You did good.

Wow....you're an angel. It's normal to grieve. That's very traumatic what you saw. Do you know who that person was? Maybe go to their funeral if you can. It will bring closure.

Time will heal your heart. You're very noble and honorable to do something like that. You've earned your wings, dear.

Let yourself cry. You will feel better later. The next couple of days will be hard, but it'll get easier.

My heart goes out to you.

By accepting the inevitability of death. We all hope to die of old age but the reality is simple, we cannot all be that lucky. As tragic as it is for someone to be taken early, it happens. This is a part of life which cannot be avoided. Therefore, acceptance is the only key for overcoming it.
