Panic! At the Disco (I Write Sins Not Tragedies), Jacks Mannequin (Dark Blue), The Rocket Summer (Around the Clock), The Academy is...(Slow Down), My Chemical Romance(Helena, Welcome to the Black Parade), Hellogoodbye(Here in your Arms), Taking Back Sunday(Makedamnsure), The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus(Facedown), and Fallout Boy (Dance, Dance , Sugar Were Goin Down) are some good bands. I also put some good songs by them in parenthesies!

You have to listen to the Pixies. Without them there would be no Nirvana. Although they were never huge commercially, any real fan of alternative/punk will love them. They are by far my favorite alternative/punk band. Check out: "Where is My Mind", "Rock Music", Caribou", "Levitate Me", "Here Comes Your Man", "Hey", "Planet of Sound" and "U-Mass" for starters
