well find the slope.

(-2 - 8)/ (7 -3) = -10/4 = -5/2

now put it in the formula for a line:

(y - 7) = -5/2( x +2)

so the y intercept is at x = 0, or namely

(y - 7) = -5/2*2

y - 7 = -5

y = 2

and the coordinate is (0,2)

Two points in euclidean space are always connected by a line. This is the least degree polynomial that would define the function. To find the least degree polynomial for any set of points there is a formula called Lagrange interpolation. This polynomial is unique, so i am again always confused by dr. spocks comments.

Is everyone supposed to be clairvoyant? The answer to your question is: ANYTHING!

Next time, please be so kind as to specify the function.

Postscript: Come on now! You're evidently asking this kind of unspecified question over and over again; there are another 3 already in the pipeline.

Please don't expect everyone to rush to do your homework.
You would be better employed learning some very basic material about what I presume must be straight lines.
