Let's not stand on political correctness here - just take a look at the NFL and the NBA. If DNA can contribute to hair texture, skin color it can also contribute to muscle mass and fast and slow twitch muscles. Look at the Olympics - although there have been some non-black runners who have done well, most of the runners who win are black - both in sprints and distances.

Some athletic success can be because of socio-economic reasons but a lot can be directly related to DNA. It's a biological issue, not a racial issue. This has nothing to do with intelligence or any other factor: we are simply talking about physical performance.

It is hard to say this for sure.

Many blacks in America live in poor conditions and social conditions merit achievements on the sports scene rather than academics. That is changing and it will be interesting if the sports demographics change too. These days, less white majrity schools push athetics as much as academics...perhaps this is the cause of the shift. Also, there is a large majority of blacks in most cites and the competition is getting greater than in rural areas, this may explain black dominance in sports.

70 years ago, the national sports stars were all white...does that mean that whites were superior at that time? Of course not, but more whites had the opportunity to play sports at that time too. This idea comes up in coaching also. More coaches are black now than ever, and successful. Are they better strategists? not necessarily as a group, but as individuals.

Perhaps you are right, but there are many other explanations also. The equality barriers are coming down, so more backs are participating than ever before.

no doubt a fact........its because of all the years black people in america were slaves....

the biggest, strongest slaves were the ones that survived....they were handpicked and forced to breed with the other big, strong slaves...........this created BIGGER, STRONGER slaves........then those slaves bred to produce big, strong, super slaves.......

this is why black people in america have a higher muscle mass percentage......they also are taller and have longer limbs which are of great use in many sports....

you ever notice black american athletes all have typical slave names?........Sanders, Williams, Smith, etc........

also take a look at actual Africans........real people from Africa......they dont do well at all in the Olympics.......the only thing they are good at is long distance running.......which is dominated by the very skinny Kenyans and Ethiopians......theyre good at this because for generations they have walked very long distances........ran very long distances......lived in high elevation....and have struggled to find enough food.....

its simple......you breed an entire race to be able to work longer and harder for over 200 years and they change.......adaptation...evolution......after 200 years of only the biggest and strongest surviving.......theres only big and strong people left today.....
