Mine was a large wheelbarrow with a canopy. It was a fruit and veg stall. When I came down on Christmas day, it was the biggest present in the living room. Much bigger than any of my 3 brothers had. I did cry though as they were too busy playing with their toys to come and buy from my shop. I cried until my mum and dad agreed to buy something. Little plastic carrots & cauliflower weighed out in some pretend scales. Don't make toys like they used too. I also loved the mouse trap, crossfire & ker plunk too.

A Mikey mouse slushy machine- I felt very productive.
A copy of the Divine Comedy- a very expensive addition ( I was surprised they took the time to consider my likes.)
That's about it. I usually got barbies and dolls, but I grew up with boys, and was a Tom boy. I really never had a liking for such things. So every year I would have mountains of girly toys that I never played with. My parents knew this but still did not take me into consideration. Many f those toys were never open, not until my sister was born and was able to appreciate them.

When I was about 7, I had a football game called 'Big League' by a company called Chad Valley. I t was a full 11-aside game similar to striker but full size. In hindsight I wished I'd looked after it I'd love a game right now.

A gun. I'm not kidding. I was 18, so to me I felt like a kid. I was working as in intern for the police department, newly out on my own, and was all infatuated with the police life at that age. My dad thought me responsible enough to own it. Been 11 years, still have it, and bought myself another.
Not a gun freak, but the gift signified they trusted my choices.

Probably time time I asked for a sega megadrive, at the time they were very expensive and we were poor and I in no way really expected to recieve one... It was more of a wish.

But come christmas day there was a brand new one waiting under the christmas tree along with a load of games!

My first hamster when I was about 7.
I remember feeling grown up at the thought of having my very own pet to care for. I enjoyed the responsibility of feeding it daily & cleaning out its cage.
I even paid for the food & bedding using my pocket money each week.
I loved that hamster!!!!!!!

My father built me a vanity table with the marque lite mirror when I was a teenager. He thought I was a beautiful young woman and should have a proper vanity of the stars.

A popple! Those weird soft toys that you could urn inside out to be wither a popple or a ball. I remember my parents spelling it out backwards in front of me and I guessed what I was getting, it was cute though.
