Whenever i bump into a white person by accident before i can say excuse me. they inexplicably apologize first. as if they bumped me.
i find it hilarious.
any explanations on this? insight?

Haha, weird. It's just ironic. Not all white people are like that, just the ones you bump into. Whenever someone bumps into me, I say sorry if their older then me, but I'm not white.

It's just a cultural thing. It's polite to say excuse me no matter who bumps who. Potato head makes a good point. We Honkies are some polite *** mother****** too.

Some of us are raised with such good manners that we automatically say 'excuse me'. We might be distracted - thinking. You know what thinking is don't you? Or do you? I don't know why you find it hilarious. Twisted sense of humor? And I don't know why you are so concerned with race. Go do something for someone and take your mind off these frivolous things. Or can you understand the concept of doing for others?

I think it is just common courtesy to say excuse me for both parties if it is accidental. It takes two to bump into each other.
If you are in a crowded store, everyone bumps into everyone.

Don't think the person being white has anyhting to do with it.. its just an instinctual reaction to say "oh excuse me"..

I do that whatever color they are. If I say it first okay; if they say it first, I say it also anyway. So?
When I'm in a bump between two humans, I don't check their color.
