Perhaps you mean "why," "figment," and "liberals'."

And why has this become a liberal vs. conservative issue? If someone other than Al Gore was presenting it, would you feel differently?

And I'm sure, amongst the overwhelming majority of global scientists who agree that it exists and is a problem, that there are some political conservatives.

First of all, global warming is real.

It is considered a liberal problem because the liberals want to control every aspect of people's lives, whereas the conservatives want to keep a small government. Conservative people (not the politicians) are concerned about global warming, too.

The funny part of all this is that there's also global dimming, which is causing droughts and the temperature to be cooler on the earth's surface. That is also caused by pollution.

I don't think so global warming is real and the economic consequences are soil erorison, and coast line be taken over by water, and natural resources are fixed in value and Fox-news can bring on hacks to deface global warming, but the theart is real. We should as a government give tax breaks of 3k a year for people willing to give up the car, and start to tax gas guzzlers out of the marketplace. Hummer and SUV are not work vehicles, and Pickup trucks should be exempt, but incentive towards fuel efficency should be given. First, I would give tax break to anyone willing to give up a car and walk to work each year. Second, start a VAT tax on motor vehicles that cant meet clean air or fuel ecomony standards. Finally, give tax breaks to people that buy more fuel efficent and smaller cars. The marketplace cant resolve global warming alone that is where goverment polices can encourage better behaviours.

Global Warming is a nice way of saying that, yes, over the course of decades and centuries, there is a fluxuation of climate changes.

But not because Al Gore says my car engine is going to cause an ice age. Because volcanos cause holes in the ozone, and even cow flatulence has an environmental effect.

But it's so much easier, and profitable, to make sure cars are "smog checked", which the effects of even the worst vehicle polluters aren't even measurable on a global scale.

To the post above mine: AWESOME.

you've defined Al Gore. Reject the flexibility guzzling mansion and preaching. The earth has classes of warm temperature and chilly over thousands of years, so any organic phenomenon might want to no longer be preached adversarial to and a modest living house might want to apply a lot less ability.

Once again I remind you, that the neocons target the uneducated, unhappy and miss guided people and tell them the liberals are why they are why they are so unhappy and misguided and because they are so misguided and unhappy and uneducated they believe it, so sad but true,
