it's like a sixth sense. some people can see things that others cannot which is a form of clairvoyance. I can tell that too, i can also tell if someone likes someone or not. we are just people who pay alot of attention to people's behaviors and actions.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. You may miss the best novel of your life. Date a few times BEFORE you sleep with him. Aske the hard questions like how he feels about his mom. How many times he's been arrested. Abusers typically grow up from a pattern of abuse. You need to investigate with that in mind.

The actress Ellen Burstyn recently mentioned that as an abuse survivor, she can pick out abusers. To a certain extent, I can too. And I have heard that other DV survivors can sometimes sense them as well. Most learn through horrible experience. After they and possibly their kids have been injured, traumatized, PTSD, etc.

Just by looking at the person, I would say absolutely no way, not for a person without unusual skill, etc . . . After dating the person a while, there should be signs and warnings. We all can see these problems, but some of us refuse to accept the warning.

You can't really tell by looks. It could in fact be anyone. In general it'd be a low income blue collor worker type with poor social skills. You might pick up on that. You just have the way of reading people.
