I agree with Colleen O, don’t try to make a good impression just be yourself because they will see right through you. Then you’ll have to play that roll all the time your around them don’t start off that why. If their son loves you then they will see what theirs son see. As for the gifts you said they love horses and raised them so I bet they have all that they need as far as taking care of the horses. I would give them something that they don’t have. But make it an individual gift. For her something nice maybe from Victoria's Secret they have nice lotions that smell very nice. For him I love you shop in L.L.Bean catalogs they have cool coats and boots that are worth the money.

Unless they are loaded with money they would both probably like a gift to help with taking care of the horses. Horses cost money to take care of. One gift for both of them is good in this situation.
Just how old are they anyway??. lol
Also, how much money do you have to spend?
Horse food and things like that have to be kept in plastic containers to keep bugs out, etc. How about a plastic container , maybe a five gallon bucket with a lid from homedepot,, or even a garbage can with lid,,, in this can/bucket put little things in it that they would use for horses. Go to the feed and seed or livestock place or something and get some things, maybe a horse brush, hoof pick, soap, scissors, maybe some rope from home depot. ( from a dollar store you can get - leather soap also know as Murphy's oil soap. Some sort of measuring cup/pitcher or scoop for scooping up feed, plastic cups they can use once for drinking/washing horse/treats, etc,, little things like that. Wrap each little thing up. This shows you thought about them and the will love it. And you did think about them, That is WHY YOU ASKED. Good Job!

I'd definatly go with something a little off the norm but make sure it is nice and horse related. A few years ago I got mine a sitting with a pro photographer (he came out to the farm) so they could get a real portrait with their goats. That's a thought if they love their horses as members of the family.

Ask your husband. I'm sure he can give you some advice or ideas. I'd say get some horse art work or maybe a sculpture of some sort.

Don't TRY to make a good impression. That only comes off as phony and you don't WANT to make THAT kind of impression. I would say the best thing is to love their son.

How about anything horse related, books, pictures, DVDs, collectibles. I'm sure both would love it.
