The name Hussein was around long before Saddam. It was the name of dozens of worthy people from Husayn ibn Ali (grandson of Muhammad) down to King Hussein of Jordan, a loyal ally to the USA.
To me, Hussein/Husayn is as good a name as George or Richard.

I have not heard them sniping at his name. I did hear Teddy Kennedy stumble over his name, calling him Osama Obama or something like that. (I think this was in the morning when he had consumed only one bottle of Scotch.)
Anyway, I won't vote for him because of his political beliefs, not because of his name.

Name, name, what's in a name? That which we call a rose, by any other name, has thorns.
