do you think you would have gotten better grades?

I had the internet when I was in school and I looked up questions and answers on my own.
DO you think it is fair? Shouldn't we let them look answers up for themselves??

I don't think so but I didn't have the internet when I was in school (at least not the way it is today) I've found that almost any school subject related question on here is something that could have been answered by using another website. I've had better luck finding out the answers on my own rather than asking for the opinion of other random people. I've cheated on tests before and still failed because someone gave me the wrong answers. I believe I would have had better grades if I had the internet in general as a kid but Y!A wouldn't have made much of a difference.

I've answered one or two homework questions on here but I try not to. It's not really fair and they should look it up themselves. It would actually be faster than waiting for answers.

I don't even know why they bother putting all of their questions on here. Wouldn't it be faster to just look up the answers themselves? Especially when their book probably outlines the answers much better than any of us trying to guess what exactly they're talking about.

I did not even have the Internet to look it up on. I had to read( oh my gosh) so yes I think they should do their own work and play on the computer when done with homework, parents need to be watching them better.

Don't do it. It will be not really worth-full., because in fact almost all questions we are asking on Y!Answers just helps too see how other people react, think or feel about particular things. Sometimes there are great answers from clever and intelligent people.

I didnt have internet..had to use the encylopedia and the library..a research paper was just that took lots of time b/c you had to actually do the research..in todays world you go to yahoo or google or ask type what your looking for and WOW pages and pages on info..very simple..I think its cool how far we have come.

At least they are trying to research answers right? Instead of just guessing? But some I know answer with not right answers, so I HOPE that the kids who are on here expecting REAL answers at least know to make sure that the answer they are going to use from here, is right before using it.

I probably would have. I didnt have the internet in school. We had to rely on friends for some good old fashion homework copying and cheating.

I'm in school right now and I could use Yahoo! Answers for everything but I would just use it for something that I really tried to get but I didn't understand

The kids today are fricken lazy as h*ll. No computers in my day, like you I looked up everything on my own, and it stayed in my head. That's why I don't answer their questions, and if I do, it will be far from the right one.

Who says the answers you get from here are worthwhile lol? i would always do my own research. Most questions I ask in here are more too see how people actually think or feel about things.
