It's just a simple genetic difference. Like "White men can't jump" Black men have sickle cell anemia. For various reasons Black men are more easily infected with aids than men of European decent.

Well, Gee, could it be because they are screwing like rabbits from the age of 12 and not wearing any protection at all--EVER?--I'm certainly not saying ALL blacks are like that, but far too many VERY MUCH ARE when they are in a large all black poor community, like in the ghettos. I'm from the surrounding NY area, so I've seen it first hand!!!
You put the projects up and ten years down the line they become a dangerous crime ridden cesspool, babies abandoned in garbage cans and on elevators and 20 year old girls with 5 children.
This would also explain why black women are 3 x's as likely to get an abortion than a white woman and the fastest growing populous of new AIDS cases is among black females. And 1 in 3!!! gay black men have HIV or AIDS.
IT'S AS GODDAMN SIMPLE AS THAT.

I thought your stats were not accurate until I did research and you are right.. HIV is rated highest among African Americans- I wouldn't say it was a racist plot though

While African Americans make up a disproportionate percentage of HIV/AIDS cases in the US, I don't think it's a "plot" per se, although racism is part of it. The history of racism in the United States (we can't deny it) has led to unequal education and economic opportunities for black people. Although Jim Crow is over, its legacy remains -- just look at our school system. This is why there is so much poverty among African Americans.

Poverty all over the world (among both black and white people) is highly associated with HIV/AIDS. Just look at the Ukraine, where poverty, IV-drug use, and HIV are linked. While I don't think it is a "plot" (i.e. a conscious decision by lawmakers or other powerful people), I think that racism is a big reason that AIDS isn't seen as important as it really is.

Could be. Could be. We remember the Tuskegee Syphilis Study where Black men were sought after who DID NOT have syphilis. The scientists GAVE them syphilis and then proceeded with a "study" to prevent it from further occurring in whites. (Originally they couldn't find any Black men with syphilis)
I doubt your figures are correct. You must remember that the statistics are taken from government figures which do not always include other races. What happens is that many whites do not go to clinics (Opting instead for private doctors (or are better off financially and are able to PAY for services, or have private insurance.)) and so those doctors or other private facilities are not required to report their figures.
It would be safe to say that there are just as many if not MORE whites with syphilis than Blacks.
You must also ask yourself why the figures are always centred around Blacks anyway. Where have you see a headline that starts off saying that, for example, "Whites make up to 50% of Aids victims in the United States"?
Even as it is probably true.
It is all a play of words and scare tactics. Not to say Blacks should not be concerned. But just as many whites should be concerned also.

I see far more white teen girls in underground magazines where they are "screwing like rabbits" than I do Black teens. They are there, all throughout the transportation centers in NEW YORK and other cities throughout the United States. And they are VERY VERY young, sometimes 12, 13. And I am familiar with the number of young white teens having abortions in record numbers, far more than Blacks. In fact, Black teens are more than twice as likely to KEEP their babies than white girls.
So let's just tell it like it is. It does not matter where you live. The media is of course going to zero in on the so-called poor neighborhoods. But they either hide or simply DO NOT cover what happens in the white neighborhoods, including the poor ones.

A sad mix of economic and social realties.

I wouldn't call it a racist plot that a disproportionate number of African-Americans are diagnosed with AIDS each year, although racism has a part in it (particularly in regards to funding for healthcare and preventative programs in black neighborhoods). The social aspect plays a part in it, too, with attitudes such as "it can't happen to me" and "AIDS is a gay disease."

Who really knows. I've even heard AIDS is a man-made disease that targeted the gay community, early on. Anyone any color who uses intravenous drugs and has unprotected sex is at risk.
