Seems like if anybody could sympathize with getting picked on, it would be the black community.

some ppl (SOME) are ethnocintristic, therefore, they do not empathize with other ethnic groups. and then there's the my ppl were treated worse than your ppl thing. i've been guilty of that one a time or 2...i'm native american. i don't think my ppl are any better or worse than any other ppls though. we're all in the human race together, and need to come together before it's too late to save this home we all live on.

Why should we, we've been here in this country since the 1600's and still get treated like s h i t but everyone else can come here tomorrow and get houses, cars, credit, jobs and can't even speak the language. Why do blacks always have to be the ones who have to accept everyone and hell look at your first answer no one accepts them. I think mexicans and the like are some of the most you've got your nerve, racist people. I think whites are horrible but at least they spend the time trying to have an insight to why black people are the way they are. The true racist are asians. They have a look like they think they are better than hell everybody. Talk down to you and then accuse everyone of being racist to them. I don't think I have to beg for acceptance from anybody no one else has to why should we. Everyone bases an opinion of blacks by what they see on the news and just like not all killers are black, but blacks always get blamed. Not all blacks like rap music and baggy pants but everyone assumes you like it because you are black. When you wake up everyday and you are black (let's face it, it's the first thing you see) and you have to go into this world fighting ingrained racism and stereotypes what chance do you think we have. I get along with people who want to get along with me and my people. I am not going to force myself on anyone I know who don't like my people but like me cause I am different from the others. What the hell does that mean. You are okay but your people are fk'd up. I am my people. I don't sympathize with any other race because why should I. That's like saying I feel sorry for you because you can't get that 500,000 house and a BMW. When I have to rent a cheap apartment and drive a ford taurus. Please quit trying to make us look like we owe you something. We don't owe you or anyone else s h i t.

now, i can understand when you said sympathize with Hispanics, but not people who are homosexual. it's not a sin to be Hispanic or black but it is a sin to be gay. so quit comparing homosexual struggles with black and Hispanic struggles. there's no comparison. i can't believe you would even think to compare the two. i mean, you're basically saying we should embrace them because they can relate to us. wrong! gay people were never denied an education. when a gay person moves next door, people don't all of a sudden, pack up and leave. so don't compare Hispanics and blacks to homosexuals!!! good bye, and have a nice day.

I don't think they all don't sympathize with other oppressed groups. But I have noticed that racist whites have tried to turn African-Americans against Latinos because they know that if they united in demanding equality they would be too powerful. Racist people are convincing African-Americans that Latinos are stealing their low paying jobs, when it was racists people that made it so some African-Americans could only find low paying jobs.

Quoting Randy:
Because they don't believe in "Equal Rights" as they bally-hoo, rather "Me-rights" which they never admit but evidence clearly in all their "Civil Rights" mouthing and marching and rioting of the '60's and corruption henceforth. I think the phrase is "Actions speak louder than words", and their actions are a dead-give-away.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You're right. A lot of us don't believe in it. Your statement is a dead give away to something we've always known when it comes to race and how most whites feel about blacks in this country. Forty years later and their thinking hasn't changed.

As far as chips on shoulders...never had one. I also wasn't raised expecting anyone to give me anything or felt that I was "owed" anything and don't know anyone who does.

Dealing with these kinds of attitudes for hundreds of years and the problems that gays are having aren't the same.

I personally don't feel anything, one way or the other about what the Hispanics (your probably mean Mexicans) are having. White men created that problem. It was okay for them to come over here and work in their fields and tend their lawns and be maids in their homes under the cuff until they started migrating all over the US.

Divide and conquer. That's the way of the US.

*Scanning Question*

Racism level: 3%

Action: None

Answer: Some blacks sympathize with other races, some don't cause they feel the other races will inturn be racist towards them and vice versa. Humans are humans and are subject to personal opinions, not group or "race" opinion.

It has been said that this is why so many Jewish people are involved in the civil rights fights for all; they can identify with being oppressed.

It's not right to generalize but, many blacks are too into themselves and don't care about other races. I said many, not all. Jewish people have more outgoing minds.
