The film itself received poor reviews, getting a 0 out of 5 from Rolling Stone. However it was not the performances, but the plot that critics seemed to attack comparing it to the highly successful predecessor

It was a bad movie. I'm surprised it didn't go straight-to-video. It wasn't even so-bad-it's-good. It was just really boring and way too long.

Not enough people plopped down their cash to see it. Nobody can answer for others. You would have to ask each to get an answer.
