Just send them a nice note telling them something like: "I hope you are enjoying your item, it was a pleasure doing business with you. I have already left positive feedback for you, when you have a chance, and if you're satisfied with this transaction, please leave some positive feedback for me as well! Thanks and have a wonderful week!"

I have over 2300 + feedback on Ebay. I consider feedback a big motivater to for me to sell stuff, because when I worked in the corporate world I had no recognition for the work I had done for the company if fact I got walked over. There are a few factors why people haven't left feedback. 1). the customer hasn't received the item yet 2). they have forgotton because they have been to busy or situation have occurred. Not everyone is glued to their computers. 3). Some people just don't leave feedback, just look at their 'feedback left for others' to see they have left others feedback. Buyers on Ebay are not rude or anything like that, I send them one small polite reminder stating. I have not received feedback, I ask if they have received the item, is everything OK with the item / service, if not I promise to sort it out. My overall message is don't worry keep selling and provide the best service and people will leave you + feedback. Kind Regards 99% I have an immediate response either a message and/or they leave. 3).

Even though I think Starbuck's is over rated, I can easily help you with this problem.
Some folks, me included, just forget to leave feedback. All you have to do is compose a nice note that is generic and friendly saying that you are proud of your reputation on eBay and would appreciate it if buyers or sellers would please leave feedback for you. It's easy to forget, especially if time has gone by.
I'm off to leave some nice feedback for the last thing I won on eBay right now. Maybe it was from you?
Merry Christmas!

Some buyers just forget. Others don't care to leave feedback. Just shoot them a polite request asking if they wouldn't mind leaving feedback for your transaction. As long as it's polite, it won't come across as rude.
One thing I will say is that you shouldn't demand feedback in return for feedback as a seller. This post I once saw explains why - http://discoverywithin.blogspot.com/2006/10/e-bay-feedback.html

Just say somthing like, in regards to your ebay purchase on xx/xx/xxxx, I have notcied that you have not left feedback yet. Are you satisfied with your purchase, if you are, please could you leave feedback for me? Only the really nasty ebayers are going to take offence to this and post neg feedback back for you.
You must be a very polite person to not ask them ;) I wouldnt worry about how it sounds, you never have to speak to them!

Simple. I do not leave feedback for buyers, until I received feedback from them. If it is positive, I leave positive feedback for them. If they don't leave feedback, they don't get feedback from me. I have not yet received negative feedback, so I don't know how I will treat that if it happens.

Tell them that you have left positive feedback and ask them if there was a problem with the item.
Then ask them if they could leave feedback to enable you to finalize the item.

I usually just email them and ask them to kindly leave me feedback since I left them feedback. If they don't, I just move on.

Well, you can just email them reminding them that they have not left you feedback. I've gotten emails like that from sellers before. Also, in the future, I would recommend not leaving comments for them until they comment for you.
