Yes, I eat meat and yes I think I would if I were to kill the animal.
However, I don't know from experience.

Ideally, I respect the idea of killing an animal yourself if your going to eat it. It seems more respectful towards the animal vs. buying the meat in the supermarket.

I assume that when killing the animal, a person would have more appreciation for the animal, e.g., give thanks to the animal for it's life and the nourishment it will bring.

I would hope that a closer relation between the animal and person occurs due to seeing it alive and dead in the same moment.

I eat meat consciously with thanks.

Yes I eat meat and yes, I've killed some of the animals consumed. We raised beef, hogs, chickens and rabbits during my youth. They were for food. We had a milk cow and a milk goat. They provided us with milk for our cereal, butter and the goat's milk was made into cheese.

We also hunted and shot deer and elk. That's some very good meat!

a sheep, cow or chicken, yeah, like if, I was
a farmer. well, as a muslim and I celebrate
the holiday Eid Al-Adha: Festival of the Sacrifice

The Festival of the Sacrifice commemorates the God's gift of the ram in place of the biblical patriarch Ibrahim's (Abraham's) son Isma'il (Ishmael). (In Judaism and Christianity, the child in this story is Ishmael's brother Isaac.) During the festival, families that can afford to do so sacrifice an animal such as a sheep, goat, camel, or cow, and then divide the meat among themselves, the poor, and friends and neighbours.
