Heres a good online RPG game. Its a multiplayer game too.
Its called Zeus' Legacy.
Free,fun,worthwhile,and non-download.

Guild wars is a massively multilayer on-line game that is non subsection based but if you are looking for completely free then look in to outwar.com and adventurequest. and dragonfable.com cool rpgs that are free and you can play as much or as little as you want.
