cannot get certain websites at home wi fi?

at work i can get any web site i wish on my laptop (wifi), but when i go home i cannot recieve some of them google included and somtimes aol- on my other laptop, also wifi ,everything works like normal. i have turned off firewalls and every thing else i can think of but no luck

Maybe you have a spotty wifi access. Or you are too far from your wireless router, giving you weak signals which causes transmission to drop from time to time. Why not try a network lan cable between your laptop and router/modem and see whether the problem persists?

I gather these sites (google, aol) are common sites. Are they in https or http? Maybe there's trend that you need to figure out.
