Is there something wrong with the heater and how do you fix it?? The temperature just goes up a few degrees (maybe less than 5 degrees) after one day of being on. Is there something wrong with the heater?

You might be just trying to heat an area that is too big for the heater capacity

The heating element is probably burned out, or you have one loose wire. One wire goes to the fan, and the other to the element.

trip the breaker that sends power to this heater, take the cover off, and inspect the wiring. If the wiring is good, replace the wall heater.

Lowe's has the King brand, and they are much safer than the old Cadet heaters. If your room is 10 x 20, you will need a 2000 watt heater. Just compute the size of the room, and multiply by 10 to get the appropriate wattage heater.

Improve your insulation in the attic, walls, windows, and doorways. The energy savings will pay for the repairs very soon!

It cant be the heater element as the temp does rise it sounds like the thermostat is either set to low or needs replacing try a higher setting first and if that does not work buy a new thermostat

Well it would depend on what kind of heater you are talking about. What is the thermostat set on compared to what the room temperature is?

Without knowing the type of heat, you will only get speculation from other answers. Here's mine. Make sure your windows are closed.
