i don't know but the more I look at life it seems some people have just been truly blessed and have God's protection while others...

can you provide an explanation for this other than the whole karma thing, past lives, etc

Nope I have no better explanation, I just figure our misfortunes are because we didn't make better choices in the present life, other than there are always obstacles that fall in our path at random, and it's up to us to run this course God (or whoever/whatever you believe) put in front of us, but our "destiny" is up to us, our choices, our efforts or lack thereof to proceed. It's always easy for us to say "that person" or "this person has life easy/bad, but we don't know all the conditions people face in their lives. You have to take pleasure in what you have, especially time with those you care about most. Enjoying life right now, not wishing you had something or were someplace else, is the key.

NO ONE has a "perfect life". After Eden, that was it! No perfect mortal world, We can only do the best we can with whatever abilities we possess. No amount of money, fame, love ,beauty, intelligence or any of the other "good" things we may possess, we are always going to fall short of our dreams and desires, at times, throughout our whole lives. No one is immune! All I can say now is to repeat an old parable, everybody has heard, at least I think so. "Where there is life, there is hope, where there is hope, there is life." well, I personally just don't believe in karma and all those... but I want to ask you if you really do know the "some people"? How can you be so sure that they are truly blessed and have God's protection?

No one is truly blessed. You're just not hearing or seeing their personal miseries, and they are hiding the sad parts of their lives well enough to dupe the naive folks who believe the grass is greener on the other side of the hill. Life is tough for all. You just have to roll with the punches when you feel as though life is bashing you.

Everyone goes through different problems. And life is surely not fair. but havent you heard of the expression,"The grass is always greener on the other side. Just because some people might act like their life is perfect, but no ones life is. Everyone has issues. Its how you take it. Always look at it in a positive way. Like it might be bad now but it will always get better. It might even get worse before it gets better but no matter what, it will eventually get better. Like my dog got hit by a car, my sister had a still born, and my boyfriend recked his car. But I also got a new, better paying job. And I really see things coming together for me.

I have learned that self pity is our worst enemy because our thoughts create our lives, what are you thinking? Some people like you say, seem to have things down pat.Their thinking may be very Innocent. Never think anything through that is neg or has a hurtful emotion behind it. You should also think very positively about the things you wish to manifest in your life.This works like a charm, I promise you! This will eventually bring you to a place of fulfilment

Life is many things. It can be reward, a blessing, or it can be test. The key is to make the most out of whichever you are given. Remember, the strongest people in life are the ones who have been tested the most.

How do you NOT accept whatever happens to you? You kinda have no choice. Right? God does not decide all that happens to us. Much or most of what happens is because of choices we make. Try to think of it this way.....God picked us out as the strong ones that can endure it. He knows we are learning something.

I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength.

I beleive our lives are planned, and until we can accept what has happened and who we are life won't change. we are after all responsible for our selves and we only get out of life what we put into it. so if one goes around with a chip on their shoulder then they are not going to get far.
