Years of experience indicate that parents name their children by names of the other sex when they wanted a child of the opposite sex. Poor girl knowing all her life a son was preferred. Poor John Wayne - saddled with Marion.
Goodness, when you are born you don't even get to choose your own sex but at least you can have a name to match!

It's become quite the trend and I think it's cute as long as the name will fit when the child grows older. I have a good friend named Ryan and she is a girl, she named one of her daughters Parker. I also know girls names Emmerson, Blakely, Tatum and Taylor.

I like some masculine names for girls. In fact, my younger daughter is named, Jordan and my bestfriend has two daughters named Quinn and Emerson. But, I have seen it pushed a little far with girls that are given names like Wyatt, James, and Campbell. IMO, there are just some names that are geared only for males.

I think that they're really cool, but it's nice if the nickname is boyish but if they don't like it they can go by a girl's full name. Like, Charlotte, and then for short Charlie. Ryan is good also. But in the end it's really up to you.

I think it depends on the name. Some of them as nicknames, Sam for Samantha, for example are cute... but you dont want it to be too masculine. Im with the answerer that said there are plenty of pretty girl names to choose from. But it's all about personal choice.

These day I see alot of that around my area, I have always wanted to name my baby Korie, but my boyfriend doesn't like the fact that I would name our GIRL that! I think boys and girls will give you different opinions on this question. Personally I like them as long as the name isn't to masculine I think the are Great!
