I think people think it is bad because it is different how "normal" Christian music sounds. Many people aren't use to hearing bands like underOATH and believing their Christian, because the music they play is very hardcore, and loud! I like underOATH by the way, I think they are opening up new ways for Christians who like that type of music. :] Some people just don't adapt to change easily. :]

God bless you!

For christians, metal music is really not good. They been told not to hear or listen to this kind of music, cause in their opinion, in metal music there are any massages that worship the devil or betray their god,
so they have to avoid to listen to the metal music cause they thought that metal music is really bad for their religious life.
Because of these thoughts, then many metalhead are very badly hurt with these kind of thought, cause not all of metal bands do that. So when there are any christians form any metal bands, then they will be judged as bad bands. No matter what they say or do then people will say that's a bad thing to listen or see.

I have no idea.. I love many of the songs I hear in the Christian channel.. I also love many of the classic hymns.

But when I am be-bopping down the road, I want to listen to something that has an "Up" beat to it, I also listen to other non-Christian type metal and rock.. and I love that Christian Music is offering something in that musical catagory with a better message for the youth to be able to appreciate and is family frendly without being "Put you to sleep music"

Most of the time you can not hear the words, so you don't know for sure if it is really a Christian song. Also, the metal sound is discordant and that doesn't fit with the Biblical picture of God.

I don't , but it might be because it's a loop hole for hypocrisy or that it's a cheap way to get a record deal. Go sing about how holy everything is - then party your brains out. Maybe

and I doubt gods a head banger

Most people that listen to music do not listen to the lyrics.
If they would really listen they would change their minds.
That goes with every genre. From country to heavy metal.
