I've already had it, and two women's health doctors and one pediatrician recommended it, and every other doctor or nurse I spoke to, including my father, thought it was a good idea. I'm 18 years old, I've had two doses, it's been about 4 months since my first dose, and I've had no side-effects so far.

If it had been available back when I was in college, I would have gotten it in a heartbeat, since HPV is the most common STD and affects millions of women every year in the US alone.

There are some new vaccines in the works though that will help protect those who have already been exposed.
