No player touches the ball on every play. Now on offense, the center touches the ball on every play. On defense, there is no player that touches the ball on every play. But no one position touches it on every play.

the center always has the ball on offense, but there aren't any positions that have it for EVERY play...

Well on offense it is the center. On special team kickoffs - the kicker. On punts - the punter.

Center, QB dosen't touch it every play because sometimes it is a snap to a halfback or fullback.
