Well why don't you do something you both really enjoy but don't do very often? Go iceskating, to a movie, there are some really good Christmas buffets you could go to, or just rent a movie and curl up together with some hot drinks. Make it fun and give each other a 20 dollar spending limit and see what gift you can come up for each other. Or you could take a different approach and help charities deliver Christmas hampers to the less fortunate, or adopt a less fortunate family and help them buy gifts for thier kids who would normally not get any. Christmas is supposed to bring good feelings to everybody, so do something that would both make you feel good !!

Make it down to the mountains, somewhere warm. Find a nice cabin, chances are you'll be able to find some snow in the mountains, even though your in a warm area. Just cook a turkey up, and all the trimmings and just watch the stars. Perhaps if you feel the need go fo a hike in the mountains. You'll find the serenity and atmosphere amazing. You'll have the warmth of a vacation area as most off us in Can and northern usa are gettin cold. And when Christmas comes you'll have the snowey traditional wintery weather at your disposal.

At our house we give a new and special ornament for decorating the tree or house each year ,reflecting something that the person likes to do or something that has happened over the last year.Example : I like to fish and my sister found an ornament that has something to do with fishing. It can be a funny type or just some pretty that you have admired. There is not a big cost involved and the collection grows every year and brings back the fond memories with the use .

Volunteer somewhere together.
Make a tradition of giving and working side by side :)

ie: deliver Christmas gifts for charitable organizations,
be bell ringers for the Salvation Army, do the adopt-a-family program and by a gift for a needy family, spend an evening at a shelter cheering up people down and out.

take a walk hand - in - hand, go to a park sit on the bench ( we preferred a swing sitting side by side snuggling in the winter air and yes we even took a blanket ) talking about our future, went home and snuggled by a fireplace ( we had an artificial one ) with hot chocolate listening to music or watching movies, talking about dreams and how we enjoyed being together. we could build snowmen, have snowball fights, sledding, sit on the porch and look at the night sky, neighbors lights. we even started having winter picnics ( on our front porch ) playing games, jigsaw puzzles, craft projects, baking cookies, are a few ideas we had. please enjoy each other for sooner than your think time goes by and these things only exist in your memories as one doesn't live forever
