Sundown is a good time. Openening is the bigger question. Most of the serious buyers are out as soon as it's light out.

Well that all depends on how much time that you have. I would guess that 3:00 is around the time everyone around me shuts down but here's a good idea make a big ole pot of chili and sell it for a dollar a bowl, then your fellow shoppers will be ready to keep shopping also maybe then they will buy something.

Around here 2pm because most people hit them real early, like 6am. A friend of mine has one on a Friday night starting at 5pm and she did great.

2pm not in the morning people that go to garage sales usualy get up at 6am to go to a sheduled 7am yard sale so that means that you r flow of people by 2pm is dwindling and so is all the stuff your saleing and dont be suprised if the first thing you sold was something you thought in a million years someone wouldnt want it i enjoy yardsales and im allways looking for a bargin ps dont price stuff too high or it will get around and you wont have that many coustumers good luck they make lots of money sometimes had on myself a while back got rid of everything plus about 200.oo profit in one day good luck

4pm, it will take you awhile to get it taken down before dinnertime. If it's the "last" day of your sale put things 1/2 price by 3pm to help get rid of it. If you have "leftover" kitchen items, ie, plates, silverware, etc as well as leftover blankets etc, why not donate those to your local homeless shelter.
