Something is being studied.
A huge space parasol to throw shadow on the earth. A space screen made of very light material consisting of 16 000 billions of these light screens are put into orbit at 15 million kilometers from the earth. Each very light screen measures 60 cm in diameter thicknes 5 um, transparent and weigh 1gr each. They deviate the sun rays and diminish sun radiation by 1.8 % thus neutralising the global warming. Another method is to spread in the atmosphere liquid sulfur, this will freshen the atmosphere sufficiently to neutralise global warming.
A third method is to sink iron sulphate in the oceans to trap the carbon, that causes global warming. Another method being studied is creating artificial "frozen bank" this might cool the Gulf Stream. But then the river Thames might freeze and England become a polar ice bank, this applies only to Europe.
I tried to resume what I have read in the French monthly scientific magazine Science & Vie, December 2006 number. Acquiring it will give more detailed answers. These are only studies that cost a lot to realise, though some of them are worthwhile, money wise. So something is being done in case the warming becomes unbearable, and it would not be necessary to emigrate to another earth like planet.

Wow, are there really still people who don't believe in global warming?

The reason why world leaders can't do anything about global warming is because theire real role is to keep the global economy running - i.e help the rich to carry on getting richer. Combating global warming would damage the short-term economic goals of many nations, so for the sake of a few dollars we all have to die.

in the beginning, in spite of if international warming is going on, then why can we predict of that's people who do it? Hasn't the Earth's climate replaced before? Why can not it replace now? isn't it consistently changing? isn't the land consistently shifting with the tectonic plates? i think people think of that because of the fact the climate is changing, blame people. the ambience has 21% oxygen, some million% Carbon Dioxide, and seventy 8 % Nitrogen. (i'm uncertain the real in this) before our time, it use to be Carbon dioxide that alter into dominant. And final, if there replace into international warming, why are there record lows for temperature nonetheless happening? So, there is international warming. yet are we the reason?

Because there is no global warming. It is just a political tool.

Did you know that the "global warming" those that support the notion refer to is only one-half of one degree Fahrenheit, OVER THE PAST 100 YEARS? Press them for an answer and they will finally admit it.

Do you really find it easier to believe that man is making a global change than that there might be some cyclic patterns in temperature and weather that occur normally?

Because the most import cause is uncontrollable. The surface of the Sun goes through regular periods of cooling and heating. During periods of cooling the Earth gets cooler. Right now it has begun a period of warming, so the earth is getting warmer. It has happened often in the past, and mankind and nature have adapted O.K.

Ever try to cool down an ocean with an ice cube?

First it has not been proven that it is happening

Second, even IF it is, it has not been proven to be the fault of man and not nature.

Third, there are many many many REAL environmental issues that are far more important than that myth.

Spend your time worrying about issues that matter.

When I was a kid these same nit wits told me there was a new ice age coming.

Fool me once, shame on you.

Fool me twice, shame on me!

How can you do something about nothing?
Global Warming: the biggest hoax perpetrated on the masses since Ponzi's scheme.

They can, just don't don't want to because it is currently not financially profitable for companies with big ties to governments, or for the economies, and therefore the people of those countries, so if they try to support the issue politically, they will usually be ousted from office like Al Gore.

because its up to them to try to persuade us people, the public, to make a change. Afterall, we are the ones who started global warming.
But people of the older generation won't do anything- they're not bothered that this new generation of kid/teens will suffer. Shame really

Everybody want to shift the burden to others. Kyoto put most of the burden on us. That's why Clinton never submitted it to the Senate.
