Of course. The "chosen People" (Specific descendants, whether or not they are forgiven) are referenced often and with absolute clarity in the bible.
Additionally, there are numerous references to specific cases of God's biased choices, the most obvious of those being that (by God's command) only Levi priests were allowed to bear the ark of the covenant, and it instantly killed any other, including believers, who touched it. Other more general cases were God's entire destruction of every man, woman, and child (how could a newborn baby be sinful or bad in God's eyes?) of numerous cities and cultures not because they were sinful or bad, but because they opposed a people that God favored.
It would have been a bummer to have been a believer in Jericho, but destroyed along with every other living thing (by God's orders) because they weren't part of God's favorite people.

Well, I don't believe that a God of true and divine love has "favorite" children. And yes, it does seem to me that there some here doing "better" than others. I know some people, when I greet them and ask "how are you" always answer "blessed and highly favored" and while I would be happy for their fortune, I could not help but feel that "favoring" one person over the other was somewhat unfair. As I continued to observe, it came to my realization that these people held the same religious beliefs or belonged to the same groups and organizations. I felt they were "hooked-up" or "connected" to some sort of community or cult, and that just because I was not part of such organized body, though I still have my relationship with my divine creator, I and others were exempt from that "favor". I have conluded that it is easy to become part of organized religion and cults, but once that occurs, you are then conncted to a system of "favor" in exchange for "favor" and THAT is not a system I want to be connected to. I don't think the laws of that system are dictated by a divine being of truth and divine love, but instead, one wearing the mask of such. I am not willing to sell my soul in exchange for "favor", though life hurts a lot sometimes.

No, God does not have favorites. That contradicts what we know about God. He loves everyone. It does seem that some people do so much better than others doesn't it? You must be feeling really down. Cheer up and be positive. God will help you if you ask. Sometimes it is not in the way we might want him too, or we don't understand it. I will pray for you too.

Well, in the Old Testament it says that the Jews are God's chosen people but it also says somewhere in the Bible that God shines His light on the just and the unjust. I think that God loves everyone but probably favors those who submit to His will more than those who don't.

Yes I agree, there are favorites in everything right. So why would God be any different. If he created us he made us to think there should be favorites. thats why some people get ahead of others. Life is not fair always. lol

Sometimes. Once children reach a certain point they begin to learn about the curuptness in the world and become corupt themselves, at a younger and younger age in today's society. Ones they reach that point He does begin to favor others. The ones that are born ill or still-born are the ones who were corupt from the start of their existence and are being put through sduch things to cure it.

God lives all His children equally. He does not distinguish between us.
Do not confuse the Creator of the universe with the one portrayed by organized religions.
