I worked with a girl who had a period throughout most of her pregnancy- she claims she didn't know she was preggo until 6 months because of it. I wouldn't be worried if that's what they say. It does happen, just keep an eye on everything, and don't stress too much-especially right now being so early into the pregnancy...be happy :) Goodluck!

Yeah, it is normal to spot during pregnancy and especially in early pregnancy. Only get cautious when you bleed more almost to a normal period look-a-like. You'll be fine. From the time I was 6 weeks I started spotting then from there it was on and off. It should stop sometimes when your about 4-5 months I think. Im not quite sure, its differnt for every woman.

I am not as far along as you are, I am only 3 weeks but I have heard that it is very normal what you have described. The ER said you are okay, so I would just lay back and relax, stress is no good on the baby. I believe from what I hear and read that the spotting can last on and off for about a week, it may last longer but I don't know too many people who have said they experienced it longer. I think you are going to be just fine girly, I have a friend who had her period full on throughout her whole pregnancy and now she has a beautiful healthy baby girl. Keep your head up girlyl, and if you aren't satisfied with your answer fromt the ER never hesitate to go back or call again, it's your body and your baby, never feel nervous to ask a million and one questions, you need to make yourself feel comfortable. Good luck girly and congrats!!!

same thing happened to me when I was 7 weeks pregnant, they told me it was normal to spot during early pregnancy just as long as there were no clots or heavy bleeding like soaking thru a pad. Dont worry unless you get cramping along with it, if you do, take your butt back to the ER! :)

if you start to experience cramps along with the spotting or it starts to get heavier i would go to see your doctor again just incase.

if you can call your gyno-do so just for their opinion. ER docs are not specialized in OB, and even though Im certain they are correct, your gyno will help to assure you. If not call the hospital main line and ask for the OB floor. The nurses are specialized in OB can help you too.

never happened to me, but relax, sit down put your feet up stay off your feet as much as possible, if you continue to spot, go see your doctor. Drink lots of water, and keep your feet up...
