No. I only feel guilty when I've done something wrong...created hurt or confusion unnecessarily.

Guilt is a good thing. It alerts us that we've acted selfishly or without due consideration of others. That's not to say that we don't have to sometimes make hard choices or that we don't have to make choices that some will feel hurt by. Sometimes there is a larger good.

The only time that guilt is a bad thing is when it becomes compulsive or innappropriate. Guilt is a flag that notifies us that something needs changing, it's not a way of life.

Yes, most of time. Even small matters like when someone offers me a lift home or buy me a drink. I will feel guilty as if I've troubled that person for life.

It depends on the state of my self-esteem at the time. Some days I'll take on the responsibility for the world and others I just live in it, but happily.

Peace.

Used to, based on strict upbringing, Catholicism, and general anxiety.
I gave up on Western religion, studied psychology, fixed some major parts of myself and my life, and got my thyroid fixed.
Had a way-too-strong-minded friend who nonetheless did me a LOT of good, always taking her side in life, and mine in whatever situation I told her about.
Guess what? I apologize less, take my own side more, and have learned to let otehrs suffer their own consequences like I suffer mine.
And if you hurt me or piss me of, then my response is your consequence.
And I don't feel guilty anymore.
But don't let me make a mistake in public. I can still get a little jumpy in a new town, or a new place.
Then I get to know people, and they miff me, and I get on their nerves, and we get used to each other in the middle of getting along.
And I don't feel guilty anymore.

I can but- sorrow,self-pity, guilt, I don't keep feeding and let it fester-I move on to work on what I can change like hope, serenity, humility, kindness, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.
