I have small brown bumps down south and they wont go away. When they first come they are painful, then after about a week later they are fine, but are sitll there. They normally go away after about a month, but then come back. I went to the doc and she said they were ingrown hairs, but that was a year ago and now I am not sure. Women and doctors only please, thanks.

I would say listen to your doctor and wait and see if they go away or if they bother you that much get them removed. but to be on the safe side i would go to a doctor and get it checked out.

I don't see why you don't want a Male's answer but my advice is to go and get a std screen and don't worry about that metal spreader thing most tests can now be done from your urine. unless your naturally dark skinned ingrown hairs are usually red bumps and itch more than they hurt. And if it does turn out to be an std then sue the pants off the doc who said hairs.

I get ingrown hairs too.
You should not be scared of these. They are perfectly normal. Whether they are in your pubic area or under your arms, you're gonna get them.

I suggest you look up molluscum contagiosum on webmd. If the symptoms match try "ZymaDerm" to treat them.

Good luck!
