i don't get it. People are all like o-m-g, lets listen to greenday! yeah! lets listen to canadians put down americans and make songs about us called american idiot! I mean really? and if most people aren't supporting communist canadians they're supporting emos that think ther're life is so terrible because they have millions of dollars and a house bigger than africa. jesus...whats up with music today? there seems to be a lot of good bands, but most people seem more attracted to the bands that do nothing other than dis our culture and thing there life is worse than the poeple in korea. it makes me sick.

I agree with you completely about the lack of culture that many people have today when it comes to their favorite music. but then again, you cannot just sit there and "diss" other countries(Canada), the whole country is not like that. I am Canadian and I live in the United States and my entire family lives in Canada, so I can tell you from personal experience that it is not as bad as you may seem to think it is. Green day is a horrible band and so are those punk *** bands who think that rebelling and drugs are awesome. so next time when you are venting do not blame an entire group of people, jsut blame the band or something. that's just down right mean.
As for music, no one is cultured anymore. No one appreciates real talent, because anybody can claim to be a singer. Take Paris Hilton for example...omg! I wish people would appreciate the beauty of the classics (Rock and Beethoven), or the Jazz icons from the 20
s and 30's! Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, etc...!

Art is basically anything that rouses an emotion, like a spaghetti on a string would make you say, "what the hell is that!?"...your emotionally connected response to those types of music made it art, and now with you doing the same with music, it just makes those types of music an art form that people may feel a different emotion towards, it's just that they buy it and become music fans, and you criticize it and become a music critic. Different strokes for different folks!

Yeah current music really blows. All everyone is into is all kinds of crappy emo stuff and techno s***. Thats why im into classic rock cuase they acually had good music then. and ive noticed alot more people are getting into classic rock cause all the new stuff really blows. music in the 50s and 60s was great cause all the songs are so much more upbeat than music today. isnt music supposed to make you feel better?

I completely agree with you. People don't know what music is and they just listen to whatever, even if it means making fun of themselves. I also don't understand how people can take artists like Justin Timberlake seriously. He sings the most stupid songs. My Love??? That's seriously the worst song I've ever heard. How much time and thought did he put into it? Five minutes?

yeah, music is starting to go down the crapper- i hate those stupid goth or emo bands they all suck. thats why i listen to stuff from the 60s because thats the only good music i can find anymore

music (like everything else in life) has become flawed and screwed up. it makes me sick 2! it's like the entire world has been brain washed 2 think that crap music is good, and good music is crap. i wish som1 would make it all right again!
