the woman in the film fatal attraction(sharon stone was having an affair with a married man(micheal douglas)when he finished the affair she got in his house and got the rabbit the pet rabbit out of its cage and ......well.......killed the rabbit by boiling it.......since then the phrase has slowly taken off.....it means a deranged spurned woman or similar!

a bunny boiler is a woman who is obssessed with u and insanely jealous when u talk to other women! kinda like the name, she wud stalk u or boil ur bunny if dumped! that cleared up?
