Ok, not sure who is goingot be able to help or if anyone can help...I remember watching a movie when I was younger, maybe when I was 6ish, im now 29. I could have sworn it had Don Knotts and Dom Deluise(sorry for spellign if I got it wrong)..... Now, I canonly remember one scene from it.. They were driving an old car, from about the 20's(think that was the time it was set in, but maybe made in the 70's. I was sure they had a body in the back, maybe they were undertakers? This really is a long shot as it might not be them at all, but am almost certain. ALso, Don KNotts was wearing what I can only describe as a SHerlock holmes hat and coat. This would solve a childhood mystery! Thanks in advance!

I think you are referring to The Private Eyes (1980) with not Dom DeLuise, but Tim Conway. It is a spoof of Sherlock Holmes movies.

The Private Eyes (1981)

This spoof of the Sherlock Holmes stories finds Inspector Winship (Don Knotts) and Dr. Tart investigating a strange death in a possibly haunted mansion, while dealing with the beautiful heiress and the crazed staff which live therein.

I think it might be this film : Cannonball Run II

http://imdb.com/title/tt0087032/

There seems to be lots of dressing up in it - you can read more about it here :http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannonball_Run_II
