Cousins are discouraged from marrying because genetic defects tend to run in families and close relations can increase the likelihood of defective children. Anything that doesn't make babies is safe in that respect. When we were kids, my cousin and I planned to marry each other, but we got over that.

I knew someone who was in the same boat as you ar enow. They took their relationship farther then you are about to.Their families never approved of it and it made war betweeen families.They stayed together for a couple of years, but finally split up because she wanted to start a family and knew they couldnt.
My personal thoughts on this is to forget about it, it could never go anywhere.One kiss will lead to more.Don't just think of your sexual / emotional satisfaction, think of how this will affect you both in the long term.
There are plenty of fish in the sea................Just go fishing elsewhere for Gods sake!!!
