Do you believe in spirits and if you do should you answer a voice that is specifically callin your name even if you aren't sure there is anyone around?

Yes I do believe in spirits.
The voices you here might be a spirit trying to get your attention. They could have known you in a past life or could be a departed relative. It could also be a God/dess trying to convey a message. It may also be some form of elemental or a dragon. It could also be one of your mischevious friends pulling a prank on you.
I would ask the voice a few questions like "Who are you?'', "What do you want?", ''How do you know my name?", and similar things.

Some times when someone is in trouble,.. they will be thinking of people and you will hear them call your name.
If you think you have spirits talking to you,.. I would get a tape recorder (does anyone have those any more with all these MP3 and CD Burners >.<) and start a conversation with very long pauses like.
" Are you here?" Atleast a Minute of Pause
" What is your name?" Atleast a Minute of Pause
And so on. Try not to have the Tape recorder under your mouth or you'll get breathing and might notice yourself muttering to yourself. Have it atleast a foot from your mouth.
Maybe when you play it back and crank it up you'll notice voices and figure out what they want.
Tip for Recording: Turn down the Volume ALL THE WAY then record,.. on some Tape Recorders this makes the max much higher.

Yes i really believe in the existence of the spirit world. Now as for answering their call you are warned not to do so. For theses voices will only mis-direct you and lead you to harm........ Also you have to remember That demons (fallen Angels) and Ghost so to speak live with in the same realm now do you really want to give a demon the right to enter your life, No I did not think so so the best thing to do is to keep some sort of diary about what you are hearing and try to get some sort of a recording device to hear more clearly what is being said around you. And yes I am telling you again not obey or listen to those voices just act like they are not even there............................................

In the bible Jeremiah had the same problem. He was scared and didn't answer at first, but in the end it was God. I'm not saying its God because it could be a ghost, demon, or some other entity. To answer is to acknowledge.
